Methodology and quality principles
Tools Universe combines usable tools with explanations that can be checked. This page describes how results are produced, which limitations apply and how data and corrections are handled.
Tools with a verifiable purpose
Each tool should solve one clearly bounded task completely. Inputs, method and result are named so users can review the outcome. Related functions are combined when that makes a workflow easier to understand.
Calculations, sources and estimates
Formulas are checked against suitable primary sources or established calculation rules. Health, salary, currency, density and other variable or individual results are identified as estimates with their main assumptions. Relevant source links appear beside the calculator.
Local processing and privacy
Text, images, PDFs and personal inputs are processed in the browser wherever possible. Tools that require current external data, such as reference rates or the public IP address, say so visibly. Local favorites, notes and settings are not transmitted by the tool.
Languages, devices and accessibility
Content is maintained in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish. Controls are checked for keyboard, touch, small screens, light mode and dark mode. Examples should fit their language rather than being copied unchanged.
Corrections and maintenance
Calculation rules, browser capabilities and regulations can change. Important tools are reviewed and year-specific values or sources are updated. Reports of errors, unclear results and missing use cases are welcome.
